The Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) requires schools and libraries receiving E-Rate discounts to implement internet safety policies and technology protection measures. CIPA addresses concerns about access to content that is obscene, contains child pornography, or is harmful to minors.
Jaraty tools are designed to be safe for use in CIPA-compliant school environments:
Jaraty tools contain only educational content and functionality. There is no risk of students encountering obscene, pornographic, or harmful content through the use of Jaraty products. All content within the tools is designed and reviewed for educational appropriateness.
Jaraty tools are designed to work behind school content filters and firewalls. Because Jaraty does not require connections to social media platforms, advertising networks, or content delivery networks, it presents minimal filtering concerns for school IT departments.
While Jaraty itself is a toolset and not a curriculum provider, we support schools' obligations under CIPA to educate students about appropriate online behavior, cyberbullying awareness, and interaction on social networking sites.
